Ballycastle Bats Bludger Kenmare Kestrels out of Commission
The Kenmare Kestrels held a dismal home opening match against the Ballycastle Bats this week. The Bat’s Seeker, Kreatcher Hopkirk, snagged the snitch nearly out of the gate in minute 53, clinching a quick victory for the Bats. However, Hopkirk isn’t the only player to make a big difference for the Bats. Both of their Beaters, Barnabas The Barmy and Amelia Bryce kept up a decided barrage against the Kestrel’s Chasers, which prevented them from keeping the quaffle for more than 12 minutes of total possession. Ludo Dippet managed to score one goal in that 12 minutes, however, which was the Kestrel’s only score. The Kestrel’s own Beater, Alice Shacklebolt, did her part for the team, keeping the Bats to only 30 points before Kreacher caught the snitch.
