Week 1, Arrows at Wasps

Wimbourne Wasps Wiped out by Appleby Arrows

It was a blazer of a match at Wimbourne this week, as the Wasps suffered a crushing defeat at the hands of the Appleby Arrows. Walden Nott was the star of the first hour for the Arrows, chucking 3 quaffles through the hoops past Finnegan out of 4 tosses. Charlie Sutter also managed to sneak one by for the Arrows in the first hour. Walden and Sutter kept up the pace all the way through the first half of the match, making it difficult for Septima Mundungus and Broderick Ogden of the Wasps to catch up. But the Arrows’ Beater Ginny Millicent really clinched it for her team. She kept the bludgers flying at the Wasps, especially at Kennelworth, the Wasps’ third Chaser, and late in the 6th hour of the match she bashed one at the Wasps’ Seeker, Regulus Bagshot in mid-dive. He was knocked off his broomstick and is currently undergoing treatment for a broken arm. This left the Arrow’s Seeker Marcus Trimble free to capture the Snitch in his own time, snagging it later at 7 hours and 26 minutes.

Final Score: Arrows 400, Wasps 210
